JOB PURPOSE
To implement and maintain SCM systems and Procedures on various elements of SCM as delegated, in order to ensure sound management practices and compliance to uphold the Constitutional principles of S217 and the applicable legal framework.

REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE
Degree/National Diploma Public Finance Management or Economics, completion of MMC as an added advantage – (SAQA Qualification ID No. 48965) plus 2 - 3 years’ relevant management experience and extensive knowledge of supply chain management.

DUTIES
Provide strategic Leadership and management.
Responsible for strategic financial management.
Ensure the implementation of SCM related policies to ensure an efficient and effective administration of SCM processes.
Operational Financial Management. Implement good governance practices, ethics and values in financial management.
Responsible for financial and performance reporting. Responsible for the implementation risk and change management.
Responsible for project management.
Implementation and enforcement of the SCM policy and relevant legislation.
Maintain and manage stakeholders’ relations.
Manage, co-ordinates and controls tasks/ activities associated with controlling and supervising personnel performance, productivity and discipline.
Relationship management. Implementation of systems and procedure associated with the elements of SCM.
Responsible for audit and performance management response to Auditor-General.
