Engineering - Sewerage

Raw sewage received annually at sewage farm, comprises 33.5 % of the water provided for Beaufort West.
Purified sewage water is used for irrigation of sports fields as well as at the Flagship Project for the irrigation of lucerne. Approximately 50.79% of the purified raw sewage is annually used for irrigation.
Cost of purifying sewage is approximately R3.03 per kilo liter.
